On the birth anniversary of *Maulana Abul Kalam Azad*, celebrated as *National Education Day* in India, we remember a visionary leader, freedom fighter, and India’s first Minister of Education. Born on 11th November 1888, Maulana Azad dedicated his life to the nation, emphasizing that education is the birthright of every individual and a key pillar for nation-building.

As an educationalist, he laid the foundation of modern education in India by establishing institutions like Jamia Millia Islamia, IITs, UGC, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, advocating free and compulsory primary education for all children. His vision extended beyond classrooms, he believed in nurturing a society where knowledge, equality, and communal harmony flourished.
